The release v2.9.0 (January 15, 2024) introduces the latest_transients endpoint that can be used from the API but also from the graphical interfaces to download selected events. Note that timeouts can still occur for large requests (i.e. covering very long time ranges) due to limited bandwith to our underlying database.
