The observation run “O4” of the gravitational wave interferometers has come to its end as planned on November 18, 2025. The run has started on May 24th, 2023 and was thus the longest gravitational wave observing period so far.
The instruments are now entering a phase of instrumental upgrades and improvements. But an additional six-month observing run is currently scheduled begin in the late summer/early fall of 2026, with detectors participating as available.
