A Galactic nova has been detected on 2024-07-29 19h57 UTC at 11.2mag (cf. CBAT) . It is called J19430751+2100204 and has since brightened to B =11.51, V =9.79, Ic =7.79.
Spectroscopic observations confirmed the nature of the event as a classical nova with shock speeds around 2000km/s. See ATEL #16743.
