AT 2026ofr: a new (and possibly very close) optical transient

AT 2026ofr was detected by the ATLAS observatory: 2026-183 | Transient Name Server
“ATLAS26gre is offset by 18.6 arcsec south, 61.5 arcsec west from NGC 5102, which is at z = 0.002 or d = 4 Mpc.”

Note that there is a very bright (~2.7mag) star “iot Cen” nearby:
