**RAPAS: Network of Amateur and Professional Scientists for Scientific Alerts**

A network of observers set up since 2022 with the support of the Scientific Council of the [Observatoire de Paris-PSL](https://observatoiredeparis.psl.eu/) and the [Centre Jules Janssen](https://centre-janssen.observatoiredeparis.psl.eu/?lang=fr). One of the first sources of astrophysical alerts is the Gaia mission, which, in addition to its _data releases_, continuously emits alerts. However, many other alerts are also concerned, requiring harmonization of methods and filters to respond usefully.
